How often or at what intervals would it be advisable to get a compression check done on a petrol car? Or is it usually only a step taken when a problem has been identified?

Engine is a 1.5l Turbo with 110,000 miles.

A compression test is more of a diagnostic procedure when you suspect a problem. However it is also a good gauge of an engines over all health
