AM bluetooth streaming - secret sauce?
Discussion
I have just had the bluetooth upgrade optional extra package fitted to my MY2010 DB9V by UK franchise dealer. It required a new bluetooth module from AM factory to be installed and reflashed twice from the factory coz the dealer didn't have the kit to do this locally and the first flash tripped the TPMS circuit as well!
Still they got it installed.
My iphone 6 pairs and synchronises ok, so i guess my contacts directory has loaded up. I now have BT (bluetooth) option on my radio Mode selector button.
£530 incl VAT!
Has anyone else had this done?
Do you have any operating instructions? to say how the music streaming, track selection etc can be controlled and how you can access your phone directory handsfree or via the joystick and make a call?
So far it seems less user friendly than what i had before...which wasnt much compared to other BT systems i'm familiar with, like the one in an Audi Q7
I am asking the dealer but not hopeful and i cant see anything on the web apart from marketing b******s..so I'm sure a PHer will know the secret sauce..

I have bluetooth streaming as standard in my vantage n430 so can give you a bit of information assuming the operation is similar. As you say access the BT setting from the mode button. Your should press the music icon on your iPhone before setting off and the car will play your tracks which can be skipped either by moving the toggle switch to the right or left to go forwards or back. You can also do this with small turns of the tuning button. You can access play lists and albums as usual from the screen. It also works from the steering wheel controls for volume and the rocker switch for track changing. I suggest you ask the dealer for a copy of page 8.18 from the car handbook (2015) which is all the info you get from Aston. I have set up the phone to use siri which with ios9 allows you to access it without pressing the mic button provided you have the phone screen unlocked and plugged into the usb socket in the cubby box. I realise this doesn't fit in with the point of streaming but like being able to say find track.... or phone home or whatever with siri. The Apple support communities forum has all the info if you search for " siri in the car". If you cannot get the page 8.18 let me know and I will send you a copy.
I'm going to stick this in here - because I hope the upgrade fixes the bug, but wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
I've got an iPod wired into the centre console and every now and then the ID3 information from the iPod doesn't seem to refresh on the stack. Example, track moves from track 1 > track 2, but the display still shows the tag information for track 1. When I press next - it jumps to the current play point in track 2 that the iPod is playing then the stack updates. Doesn't do it all of the time - but it's hard to nail down a pattern to help replication or RCA. Wondered if anyone else has had this problem?
Cheers

iPod + tune2air I see same issue. Like you I have not managed to work out a pattern to troubleshoot I've got an iPod wired into the centre console and every now and then the ID3 information from the iPod doesn't seem to refresh on the stack.
