987.2 PDK - normal noises?

Evening all,
I've shifted up from my 986 2.5 to an '09 2.9 Cayman PDK - over the moon with the car.
I've always been struck by how... different, more mechanical, it sounds at idle to my 2.5. So today, when I was manoeuvring about the driveway, I had the door open to judge the distance between myself and the car parked next to me.
With the door open, I could hear more of the engine note. Essentially, when changing between Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, there is a pronounced clunk which I somewhat expected of a gearbox of this ilk. However, this mechanical sound - which I almost thought sounded like the beginnings of a heat shield rattle, a gentle ticking almost - is only audible when the PDK is in Park.
Does anyone else's PDK sound different in Park to when it's "engaged"? The car has a 12 month warranty from the dealer, so any issues I've every faith I can get rectified if need be.
