Yeah! I'm now struggling trying to justify why I shouldn't spend pots on a DL90 datalogger.

Had a quick look at some posts... CarZee has called people...

1) old boy
2) old fruit
3) old bean

hmm...? Not exactly a spring chicken any more eh CarZee? It'll be pipe, slippers and flat cap next!

They're great. Only problem I've found is the position calculations assumes the car is moving more or less in the direction it's pointing, if you see what I mean.

LOL

Funny how we blokes get about gadgets. Gotta have the latest greatest thing...

I tried to order PCM in my new Boxster S and got told "it doesn't work you can't order it". (Long story - but at least Porsche aren't letting the clients buy it and then complain eh?)

So I'm looking into a Becker Online Pro. All the same stuff. Looks like the original equipment. Loads cheaper...Result! (and you're quite welcome to say I told you so, Greg, because you did!).

And guess what....

I can't even operate my current stereo let alone one with GPS SatNav, MP3 player, SMS, GSM phone.

What am I thinking!

Don,

I have been looking at one of these toys, but haven't found a distributor that sells them for a reasonable price... Where did you go? Did you fit it yourself?

Still looking in to it actually. The best price I have found is £1495 which isn't bad. Of course, the Becker units do NOT come with big screen. - The screen thingy seems to add ANOTHER 1.5K to the whole affair.

I'll get it when I get my new car..I won't bother fitting it to my outgoing Boxster...and I'll get AFN to use one of their partner companies in Guildford to do the Job...they've done that before with a Tracker unit on my last car.

Haven't found an independent installation company yet who does Becker....The GPS Warehouse in Middlesex do everything else though so if you're interested you might look at

Yes I bloody well should, but no I'm stuck here creating mirth and merriment !

Missus is off, enjoying the weather. Will she get her polishing hands out ? I doubt it very much.
