Need to start getting insurance quotes for the GT4. Quick gocompare quote is approx £700+. Low usage - 3k miles per annum. Don't need track day cover. Any ideas who to try?
Cheers
I always use Confused as a search engine. Admiral/Elephant usually come up cheapest but also had Aviva pop up cheapCheers

So you have met me before but wrong about the leap dayItsy - you must be a 55yr old Vicar living in Devon with 35yrs NCB, car kept in a secure vault guarded by armed ex-SAS soldiers, NO previous accidents or convictions, and only using the car on a leap day

Seriously check out your insurance a month before renewal or collection for best price the closer you get to renewal the price rises.
A month ago my premium would have been in excess of £300 but seems to have dropped ? No idea what my final premium will be until I know when the car is arriving.

Ok, here's a strange one.
Admiral rang me today (got my number from the gocompare search I did yesterday) and asked If I was interested in their quote. I said "YES". The woman on the phone ran it through again to check details were correct and asked me if the vehicle had any 'modifications' to which I replied "No, only factory fit options". She asked me to list them all, and when I said it's only things like paint, leather interior, navigation etc etc, she said Admiral still need to know EVERYTHING that's NOT STANDARD. I asked her if she was sure about this as I've never ever been asked to list 'factory-fit' options before and she again said "yes, we need to know everything that doesn't come standard on this car". Apparently, failure to list everything could result in Admiral not paying out or only paying out market value as a standard NO-option's car. After this I said I wasn't interested. I'd rather pay a bit more and insure with a reputable insurer.
I'm not sure whether I got a really dumb advisor or if Admiral are using this clause (?) to get out of paying up?
Anyone here work for Admiral that can confirm this?

Going through the motions myself at the mo - renewal from Aviva is 25% higher than last year's premiums with no change to the risk factor. (M3 and Exige on multi car)
Hastings Premium are giving some good prices, but I'm not sure how good they are.
AIB are worth a call - whilst they were more expensive than most the policy looks very good - insured by Hiscox.
