Dash and headlights flickering when engine running

Anyone had a similar problem? Suspect the alternator.....

Yes, had this on my Cerb. It was indeed the alternator.

Yep if you check the large terminal + of the alt with the engine running with multimeter you will see the output jumping around like Jedward on Speed, typical alt reg failure IMO

DO NOT DISCOUNT...checking the earths. Particularly the one at front of car, collection of earth wires under 17mm (?) bolt - get right under car and the bolt should be visible just behind grp on chassis. Also check earth(s) under carpet just in front of centre console.

Seen similar weird indicator and dash light behaviour on mate's Chimaera - turned out to be poor earth at front of chassis.

Hence why I said check voltage direct at the alternator rear if the ground at the engine is good enough to crank the motor its good enough to ground the charging alt
