Speed Bumps....
Discussion
I went over a speedbump on Saturday at nano-speed and still managed to ground the car...although it felt like the contact was mad under my (drivers) seat. How much damage is likely to have been done and what ultimatly was making contact with the road? I got down and had a look underneath when I got home and could see no obvious damage. I was going at literally 1mph and hence should I not worry too much??
p.s. if there is damage, has anyone successfully sued a local authority???

My cats were totally shot, and lambda sensors too, I think the cats were about £430 quid each and the lambda's about £100 prior to VAT and then add some labour on. Mine was done at Thames Valley Racetech. Car still sounds great.
As for RideDrive - I now realise that before I was actually driving Miss Daisy rather than a TVR. For someone relatively new to rear wheel drive performance cars it was invaluable. I actually went as fast as I think I ever have in the Cerb and felt safe and in control the whole time, yet at the same time grinning like a madman. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is unsure how fast in safe in the tiv.

Measure the height of the hump you scraped on, then I'm afraid it's a bit of detective work. Speed bumps need planning permission and the council will have submitted a layout of the scheme and the hump dimensions.
If your hump is one mm over the planned dimensions, you have a claim.
I got just over £1000.
I keep all the submissions in a file, just incase and I found one that was 95mm high instead of 65mm. Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
