This is a real shame. But reminder to all given the movement in prices that it's worth making sure you have the right level of cover in terms of car's value.

I really hope he get's this repaired and back on the road again.

That's why the passenger seat footwell should be full of fire extinguishers in any Lambo!
(Indeed probably a good idea in any car - my brother in law lost his beloved Jensen Interceptor recently because he didn't....)

Does anyone know what happened to this car, according to article owner was going to try and repair car, but no other news has arisen?

It was being repaired, not sure if it has been completed yet.
