Hi, my 2004 Cerbera doesn't have sun visors, does anyone know if the visors fit from the earlier Cerbs or has anyone fitted an after market option ?
Also what should the tyre pressures be with the 18" wheels fitted with 225/35 & 255/35 toyos ? Only pressure listed in my handbook is for standard 16's.
Many thanks.
Phil.

If you solve the sun visor problem on the later cars I'd be interested as I've asked all sorts of people and without major work I haven't found a solution.

As for pressures, I run 26psi all round on the same size wheels and tyres.

I'd say 26 might be ok or slightly lower. Certainly no higher.
I find that I have to push my head into the roof to use the roll bar as a sun visor on the 'LW' cerbs.

Thanks for advice on tyre pressures. Will try 26psi & see how they go.
With regards the sun visors I suppose the easiest option would be to have the top on the screen professionally tinted ( darker than the standard strip ) but I wondered if the earlier visors would fit ( never having seen them )
My eyes are quite light sensitive & I tend to drive with the visors down all the time & have sunglasses on even if it's cloudy, I tend to get headaches otherwise.
If anyone has any ides please share, I will look into a solution as well.
I've only had the Cerb 3 weeks & I've been on holiday for 2 of them so this is all new to me.
Loving it so far, very different to the Lotus Esprit S4s I had before.
Phil.

You cant readily retro fit the Mk1 visors. The roll bar is different. I think the Mk2 screen has a tinted band at the top??? You could make something up albeit you need to be careful to ensure the material you use is soft to avoid a head injury in an accident. Maybe velcro on some card covered in fake leather to match the interior.

My old recently departed 2001 car had nice sunvisors. I must ask the new owner on facebook to maybe have a closer look at them to see what they are ?

Noticed you're North East region. I have a mk1 Cerb with sun visors removed and currently in the boot. If you need a look at how they'd fit, drop me a pm.

Agree no more than 26psi all round. I use 24-25.

Just do what I do and have a few pairs of sunglasses always in the car. I say 'few' thats for varying degrees of tint or for the passenger. ;-)

If I recall the official figures for tyres were 24 and 26. However that soft you do risk the chance of tyre de-lamination or damaging the wheels.
I run at 28's all round but soften the suspension slightly to compensate.

Good point, forgot about 18" rims with not a lot of sidewall. I run 17" RL7's.

Cheers for the offer, my mates got a 4.5 with visors but his never leaves the garage ! I'll have to pop round & have a peep.

I have the sun visors on mine, never use them, I doubt I'd have much windscreen to look through with them down biggrin
