So Paul Walker's daughter is to sue Porsche, maybe she should also sue Mother Nature for making trees to had so that when you hit them at 94mph nothing happens. bbc news link.

Just seems to blacken the memory to my mind.

This is absolutely insane! Sorry as I am for her Father's death, I really hope this goes nowhere as Porsche have no case to answer.

I think Caterham could have perhaps put a few more safety features on my car.......

Surely she should be taking legal action against the estate of the idiot who was driving...?

The US legal fraternity are often referred to as 'ambulance chasers'.

Insane product liability claims are rife in the US courts - some absurd cases do win, and some get settled out of court. They can also add massive 'punitive damages' for no good reason.

Hopefully, justice will be done - but you can bet the lawyers make lots of money!

This- surely the driver's insurers should be paying out. No other vehicle was involved

I hope Porsche do not pay a penny- would set a very dangerous precedent

Its crazy - they're arguing against police report and against the safety of a 12 year old car which Porsche could not be responsible for anymore!

An American lawyer will look at the options of who to blame then go for the one with the deepest pockets and the most to lose in terms of reputation in the hope of a healthy out of court settlement. Better call Saul....

iirc porsche have been taken to court for both the CGT and 996GT2 and won both cases.
