Contracting/supplying services abroad, work visa required?
Discussion
This is a very general question, and possibly a very daft one, apologies.
I currently do IT contract work through my own UK company. If my company was offered a contract for work in say the USA, would that work have to be done from the UK, or could I fly out there and live there for the duration of the contract (e.g. 3 months) on a regular non-work visa? i.e. and extended busman's holiday?

Generally speaking, you can be on business for up to 90 days per visit under the visa waiver program as your company will be paid for the work not you directly.
The US client will (should) apply withholding tax against all invoices, but this can be avoided if your company complete the necessary IRS forms.
