Just bought a 2006 Seat Leon TDI FR Mk1 to replace my wife's Peugeot 306 HDI (it's been a great car but is getting a little tired). I've always liked the way the Cupras / FRs looked so decided to hunt out a late Mk 1.

I'm being lazy as I'm sure I could dig out the answers, but I will ask a couple of questions in any case biggrin The car needs a couple of things sorting:

1) The glow plug light is staying illuminated during driving. The car starts and drives fine but I assume a new set of glow plugs will sort the issue?
2) It's due an oil service, what oil do people recommend?
3) It has a dipped bulb out, am I right in thinking they are H7?
4) Could do with a new set of boots on the rear (it has the 17s - 225/45/17), seems like there is plenty of choice, what do people recommend?

Any advice gratefully received thumbup

assuming it's a PD150

the oil needs to be VW 505.01 or 507.00 spec. The dealers generally use Quantum Platinum (505.01) or Quantum LongLife III (507.00)
