Hi all,

Car is a 2013 2.0TDI SE sportback.
Dealer has just confirmed today straight from VW that it is NOT subject to a recall as it's euro6 and not the dreaded EA189 engine.
Have been meaning to buy for quite a while to replace my POS Golf. And no other car particularly interests or attracts me right now.

Would you do it? Do you think I'm in the clear, or asking for trouble in terms of resale? Ie. the brand / car value in light of all the scandals?
Any thoughts welcome.
Cheers

They were reporting on the news yesterday that no VW dealers have been informed exactly what cars are affected yet.

I'd say your dealer is only interested in selling the car, car dealer in telling porkies shocker, perhaps biggrin

Hi,
Yes he only received the news around 16h yesterday, VW have just updated their dealer systems apparently showing exactly which cars are affected.
I know its Euro6, but I'm worried about depreciation anyway in light of the scandals. Could be I'm overly concerned, just never spent as much on a car. I'll probably end up leaving it.
Thanks

I'm surprised its EU6 since a 2013 Golf 2.0 TDI 150 wouldn't be. Was under the impression that engine only became EU6 compliant very recently. But either way it wouldn't affect my buying decision if its priced right smile
