V8S's everywhere!
Discussion
Is that seven V8S's for sale in the classifieds at the moment!?
Where are they all coming from?
I know it is that time of year again, but don't think I've seen this many up for sale at one time before. Good for the buyer, but will this push the price down for sellers?
Wish I had the cash to get back into it now!

Considering there were only just over 400 made and at an attrition rate of say 10 cars per year means there are probably only 300 or less of these in the country.
To have 7 of these available at any one time is like 6 numbers on the lottery IMHO. If you are a buyer at present all I'll say is don't wait, you're along time dead and you certainly won't regret it either

It's a well known fact that the farther south you are the more the roof can come off .
Wrong!
The further south you are, the warmer it has to be before you're brave enough to take the roof off!
I suppose the softy southern bit missed me by
. Must be something to do with growing up in Beruit............ sorry South London

Mr Pies you are the North East how can you comment on the state of the glorious roads around Glorious Goodwood, the Meon Valley and the South Downs
. Harry
PS for clarity the above should read North East Kent and yes the thieving County Council had better start spending my not inconisderable tax sums on the bloody roads down here too

If I'm ever down your way, I don't mind if you take her out for a spin - get reacquainted with the old girl, you might say.

How come they're all so far south though ?
North Shropshire's not in the south, and that one's a beauty.
Andy.
You're right. That one is gorgeous. I sat and oggled at that one for ages. It was way out of my price range. I see the price has dropped, but unfortunately its still too much for me.
Still looking though ...I think you could do a lot worse than having a look at Joolz'. IMO in a bid to be honest, he's undersold that car and shot himself in the foot. It's not a show car, but it's not as scruffy as he claims, and it's fabulous to drive.
Up until about a year ago I was his other half, and we occasionally swapped cars for a week, and whilst I was always happy to see the Griff come home, I can't say I was ever glad to give the V8S back. I saw it a couple of weeks ago when I collected the Griff after some work, and it actually looks really good - the PHer who gave me a lift there said afterwards 'I thought that car was supposed to look a bit rough?' I rest my case.
I'm pretty risk averse, and I'd honestly buy it without hesitation. Definitely worth a test drive I'd say.

Thanks for that Rude Girl. I did take a look at the very comprehensive details that Joolz had put together and was impressed by the trouble that he'd gone to in describing the car. (Don't let him take a job in sales though will you
) Having now looked around a few, I've come to the conclusion that more often than not the interiors do look a little, well, worn. (Is there something about the bum's of S drivers that I should know about ?). And to be honest, I thought Joolz's car had quite a good shine on it in some of the pictures. I didn't think it looked bad at all.
I've found myself a well trusted expert who will hopefully uncover the right car for me, fingers crossed. I'm done with waiting now, time to be driving.

Hi Mrs BC...
I've been watching your posts over the last couple of weeks...
As you are obviously aware...If you go with your senses you will probably choose the wrong car...
The noise
The feel
The Vibration
The Undoubted willing / taste for speed
The touch, (bodywork)
That thing (you know)
Although you may feel that time is against you and that you want that car for the next PH or TVRCC meet....
WAIT....
Wait....
Wait....
LOOK....
Look....
Look....
[O B 1 Kanobe mode on]
See them all and choose wisely
[O B 1 Kanobe mode off]
Good luck....
