So I sold my Elise a few months ago and now im thinking of going for a boxster.

I have about £18-19k to spend and im off to look at a couple tomorrow. Been told to go for a 2.7 but I think I can get a better example in 2.5 litre, your thoughts on this?

Also what should I be looking for? I have done some reading and got the following on my list:

- Does the air con work correctly or need regasing?
- Tyres all round (can be expensive)
- RMS seals
- Official Porsche service history

Also usuals such as brake pads etc..

Anything else I should be looking for except for the obvious?

Thanks!

I dont own a boxster or a porsche for that matter, but i always believe its better buying an older car thats had more money spent on it. I heard the 2.5 had some issues when new, but by now im sure there sorted out. the money you save buying the 2.5 can go into the kitty for any problems down the track

I got an absolutely immaculate '97 reg 2.5 with lux pack and an extra's list as long as my arm today, with 44,000 miles and a massive Official Porsche service history (major service JUST done) for £16800 - so so so happy!!
