Hello one and all. Just thought i would start up a build thread of my 2011 Volkswagen Golf GTi.
Firstly i'll start by saying it is a five door, candy white, six speed manual right hand drive version with the optional 18 inch Monza Shadow alloy wheels.
I brought the car in April 2014 from Harrogate Volkswagen main dealer after spending many, many months looking around for a good condition example.

The first thing i done to the car when i got it was fit some yellow Lamin-X fog light tints that i had brought before even getting the car. (Cost £10.50)

After that i added a few little small touches including custom GTi floor mats (Cost £39.99), GTi seat height adjuster inserts (Cost £12.00) and a white rear badge sticker insert (Cost £1.50)

Next i upgraded the headunit from the RCD 310 unit to the RCD 510 one, simple upgrade but it makes so much difference especially now that it is DAB compatible (Cost £315.00)

After all the small touches were out of the way things started getting a bit more serious when i purchased a Stage 1 induction kit from Carbonio through Awesomegti.com (Cost £262.80) along with a Porsche 911 engine oil cap (Cost £21.87) and a Porsche 911 Coolant cap (Cost £22.81)

Next i took a trip down to premier-signs in Colchester, Essex to get my roof wrapped in 3M carbon fiber vinyl. They done an amazing job and i would recommend them to anyone. (Cost £150)

A few months later i decided to get my engine cover sent of to Aquagraphix in Wales to be Hydro dipped in there gold true weave carbon fiber with a black background. They done a superb job and i would certainly use them again. (Cost £80) I also got a close friend to spray up the center insert in candy white paint to match my cars exterior (Cost £20). I also sprayed up the washer cap in black with a rattle can from Halfords.

Looking very nice, love the carbon fibre.
Where did you get the carpets from? Link?
Sorry for such a late reply. I brought them from this company on Ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/patternone_autostyle?_tr...Where did you get the carpets from? Link?
The remap made a huge improvement and the car felt so much nicer to drive, it pulls after a lot quicker and also manages to get slightly better fuel consumption to. It was a win win situation. For the next mod though i deciding to try and stiffen things up a little by buying a top mount strut brace from Ultra Racing. This made a massive difference and now when accelerating out of corners the car just grips so much better allowing me to put the power down earlier.

Next up i thought it was time to get rid of the horrible chrome VW badges on the front grille and the rear boot for the black and red ones i found on Ebay which i think makes the car look a lot nicer.

After two years of owning the car and not being completely satisfied with the way it sat i finally brought some suspension in the form of the H&R Cup Kit consisting of H&R springs and struts both front and rear. The car is only moderately lower, approx 15-20mm all round but it drives nicer and feels much firmer in around corners now. All in all i'm very happy with the way it has turned out.
