Classic Bike Owners on PH???
Discussion
Just wondering who on the site has a classic bike to use on those nice sunny days we get every now and then.
I will start the ball rolling with this:
www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/profile.asp?h=0&memberId=31934
A 1961 Norton Dominator Type 99 - 600cc in Silver/Black.
Great bike which was restored over Winter/Spring 2003/04. Currently has around 44k on the clock and is used sparingly when the weather is kind!!
So what classics does anyone else here ride and what can you tell us about them??
Always interesting to find out about what is out there

Well not really a classic but my trusty old Suzuki Bandit turned 10 yrs old in 2005
Always wanted to own a 1949 Sunbeam S7 De Lux tho, despite is failings ive always liked the look of 'em, tho never ridden one which I expect would be a bit of a a shocker!
A Honda RC30 in Rothmans colours will one day grace my garage too.

BSA A7 500CC Racing green ridden every day to work.Has the alloy head, oil filter kit, ally rims and 12 volt halogen light conversion.Lots of other bits as well, back on the road last summer after a couple of disasters. After one rebuild timing slipped boiled the oil and cracked the crank.Replaced the crank and rode down the road then the oil pump failed cue mashed timing side bush.

Ahh just what I was looking for!
'Er indoors has had a 1963 Triumph 5TA since she was 16.
Its been sat in her mums back garden for the last 6 or 7 years and next weekend we are going to rescue it.
Can anyone recommend:
A spokesman, as is someone who can true a wheel/replace spokes
A vintage triumph parts supplier
A manual of some sort because I am going to get roped into this I can see it...
