GenF Diff

Hi all just trying to find out anyone with a GenF GTS how much backlash have you got between your crownwheel and pinion. I have quite a lot of backlash with mine I am just trying to find out if any other GenF GTS owners have noticed any play between their crownwheel and pinion

How are you checking it?

Holding the flange on the pinion and it will rotate about an 8th to a 1/4 of a turn I need to get s dial test indicated on it for a more accurate reading. Have you got a GenF GTS

I have Gen f Maloo. But auto. 1/4 turn sounds excessive, but how do you know that it is diff back lash and not play in the stub axle splines. Would need checking out at that.

Don't have a GenF but 1/4 turn sounds enormous! Assume this manifests when driving?

But surely all GenF are still under warranty? Or are you trying to seek confirmation that others have less before you approach the dealership?

If you think there is a problem then best liase with your retailer.
Only way to get it looked at

As said if in doubt get it to a dealer to check.
