Renegade Hybrids - any UK owners?
Discussion
Hi Folks, as a summer project I'm looking to use Renegade Hybrids of Las Vagas to pop a small block chevy into a 928
Reasoning is a 928 with no engine is cheap, a small block chevy is v.cheap and the conversion kit is cheap etc etc.
I'd like to track down anyone who has done such a conversion on a RHD 928 as renegade's exhausts manifolds only work on LHD cars
thanks in advance
Ada,

Ada,
I doubt it. But Iguana knows a 944 that had a Rover V8 fitted.
After all, you can see why you'd ditch a four for an eight, but the 928 was already blessed by nature when it left the factory.
Good luck with the project. I am an SBC fan but you'll probably have your Chevy running before me. My project has taken about two years just to get past planning stage

I guess the iron block Chevy is lots heavier than 928 tho?
The all alloy rover v8 lump matey shoved in the 944, actually weighed a tad less than the porker 4 pot (light weight tubular manifolds were a big factor)
