CREE/LED Headlight bulbs, anyone tried them?
Discussion
In my search for improved headlight performance I have come across an interesting option. CREE/LED replacement bulbs. These ones in particular as they are the equivalent of an 80w bulb so should be brighter than the standard 55w, and obviously the draw on the electrics is less

Gave them a call and they have asked to check how much clearance there is between the back of the bulb and the cover. Apparently they come with a small fan to cool them, so need more clearance than standard bulbs. He said where the bulb goes in and the back of the fitting it's about 5cm. I haven't changed a bulb yet, anyone know if there is space?
