Yes it was partly a waste of tax payers money but the occasional little thing like this is not the worst thing in the world
When I heard it my first reaction was "good lad" rather than "what a terrible waste of my hard-earned." Having thought about it I still feel the same.I caught this news item a few weeks back but forgot about it till now.
