R8 recommended indies in the Northwest ?

Apart from the porsche/audi Ninemeister (Warrington) and Awesome Gti (Warrington) are there any members on here who have taken their R8 to any other 'reliable / affordable / realistic' independents / specialists?

A list of possibles would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

David Paul have done a couple of jobs on mine and another owner I know has had a few jobs done there with no problems.
I know another owner who has used GT cars in Appleton and been very happy with them.
I suppose it really depends on what work you want doing.

I've had Porsche for the last 7 years and I'm a recent R8 V8 owner and just getting some links under my belt in case I need anything doing.

There are a few uk Porsche forums which are busy on a daily basis and some usa but not a lot of R8 forums apart from R8talk. It's reassuring to know of anywhere relatively local who has some knowledge of the R8.

First thing I thought of doing was getting my wheels recoloured in bright silver. The place I rang in the Northwest were not interested. They said 'the R8 is a difficult car to put on jackstands. Best taking it to a dealer'

I had my wheels refurbed at the wheel specialist in Manchester. Highly recommend them.

Lots of people recommend Wheel Specialist in Ellesmere Port which nearer to me than the branch you mention. I think that's where I'll be going.

ADS in Preston are a VAG specialist.

Unit20 are a highly rated VAG specialist in Neston, about 20mins West of Ellesmere Port. They mainly do Audi s/RS/R series and I've used them myself for my C5 RS6 and they were very good, if a little busy (only a small garage).
