215/45/17 will fit OK. ET is the offset.

ET25 might be too much of an offset. ET10-15 is best. with 25 you would probably need to fit spacers as the wheel would sit inside the arch too far

The OEM wheels on my V8S had a 25mm offset, but I don't think the tracks are the same on yours.

Peter,

Were they OZ 8 spokes?

Mine were and they were also supposed to be 25mm offset but I don't see how they could have been as I have ET10 fitted now (17") and they even sit slightly further in the arch than the OZ 8 spokes did.

Can you make any sense of that, I can't??

215/40 x 17 ET10 are fine on mine but one thing I would say is that my tyres are too low profile and look a bit low to me. I may change them soon for a set of 50's

Why not go for 215/45 and maintain the original rolling radius?
