Will new 2016 EC laws on valved exhausts throttle Porsches??
Discussion
Interesting discussion on Rennlist on this...does it mean that the gen.2 GT3 and RS will be a lot quieter?...not close to this so would appreciate any insights but my impression is that the exhaust button will be gone?.....

I had a quick read of the document and it does seem to indicate that cars in the future will be quieter. It does seem to exclude having switchable exhaust systems, just that the car should not be significantly noisier when used on the road outside test conditions. It may be possible to have a "track only" switch for the exhaust.
What I find more worrying is the focus on replacement and aftermarket exhausts which will seemingly all require type approval and require to be suitably marked - where does that leave the custom exhaust places when working on cars in the future?
