Just up, lovely however its the stitching in the dash that is unusual, never seen that before
must have been special request? Anyone seen a Turbo with that before?

It is a strange one...

Has Turbo S on the rear and Turbo S wheels but (apparently) no PCCB, nor the Turbo S inscription on the clock or under the CD trays...

It looks like a standard 996 turbo with Sport Techno Wheels (not turbo S wheels) which has had a turbo S badge added to it. The red stitching looks genuine as it's on the dash leather and seats.

The S has a 'turbo S' badge on the console in front of the gearstick (unless the carbon trim option was specified)
nerd

Also, didn't the 'S' come out in 2005?

Solved, nice car, lovely miles, a lot of money mind you, however

What a prick, creating a thread illustrating an overpriced 996 turbo at £57k to endeavour to make the 2 cars he is advertising at £48k see cheap!!! 12 months ago both cars would have been £25k

Traders should be banned from the forum for trying to push up prices of vehicles which they are currently trying to sell for inflated prices!!!

Seems rather unethical

The guy is a poet, here is an extract from his 996 turbo advert -
"Porsche 911 Turbos models are hot property currently as investments and are hunted
like wild game. There are many factors driving this, and they all contribute to a
model that is most likely only a percentage of the way done appreciating even
short term. GT3 prices have moved rapidly and pulled the socks up of the 996 T
however that is only some of it. The 993 Turbo has doubled in value in the last
4 yrs and its not nearly as good a turbo model as the 996, not nearly as quick,
or reliable, or as comfortable, or as tuneable or even as everyday if that's what
you want. It has taken a bit of time also for the penny to drop on how much of a
super car these models are, that be in any price bracket, they can do nigh on
200 mph and hit 100 in less than 10 seconds, and then there is the whole Mezger
engine reliability thing. Compare this car to a 959 and there is not a lot between
them"

Priceless!!

Interesting his profile on his 54 posts 'The Red Devil' was previously 'Modern Classics' from The Modern Classic Car Company.

Certainly seems to have a short term attitude, reputations are hard earned and quickly lost. Carefully filed next to HWM, HMC and YCP.

Its aright Pete you can have your opinion and we can keep our Turbos.
Its a free market and we own the cars so we can ask what we want for them
and change that too.
This is not a popularity contest, nor is it a gentleman's game, 996 Turbos
are hot property currently and as soon as my phone starts ringing for them the price goes up,
its as simple as that, if the phone rings then its
no dear enough. Exactly the same way I did with 944s for year upon year
and now they are out of sight too.....It will suit some people and upset
others, once again, you want fair play, go play cricket.....
Regarding the cars, they are the best of their kind, especially
the Orient Red car bought from an active PH man. All our cars
are double dye mint prepared to the highest standards, I have seen other dealers
idea of prep and it don't cut it.
