GTS recall

Received call to have my GTS Boxster in dealer for an enhancement on dash ? Anyone know about this ? They say it will take 21/2 hours .

Could you provide more details?

What kind of enhancement? How many hrs? 21 or 2?

It wont be a recall. Thats only for safety related issues.

It will be a service procedure or some such?

2 & 1/2 hours , if it was a service procedure then would it not have waited until I went for service rather than them call me to take it in ? Car is April 2015 .

Probably the instrument cluster reprogram thingy........ takes 15 mins if all goes to plan, over two hours if it all goes Pete Tong and all software has to be reloaded.

Agree - had mine done a few months back, in/out in under an hour. Not sure now what it was to prevent/cure?
