Yeah I've got plenty of experience, and a job offer form the company I did my placement for but not sure I want it so applying for other jobsIm going to put the feedback in here -
You dont need your address just a mobile number and email. I have seen cv's discarded before because or prejudices of where people live
Get rid of the "making a difference to the world" statement in your opening
Think about your key skills section (add in the words and knowledge to widen it) Most of what you have written are neither
Get your work experience before your education
Put the name of the company, the position and dates in bold
OK thats just for starters. Once you have done that re-read your CV and using a stopwatch see how much you can read in 30 seconds. After that 30 seconds ask yourself... "would I employ this person?" thats why your opening statement and key skills and knowledge sections need to be spot on.
Really concentrate on what you have learnt in your degree and placement and create a skills and knowledge section of bullet points to reflect this. You can do this in say three columns on points
Get rid of the references at the bottom and just put - references available on request
Now that you have done that rerun the 30 second test and ask the question again.....
Flush out anything along the lines of passion, thirst etc.... that is to be expected
Finally.... remember that for each job you apply for to tweak the opening statement and the skills and knowledge list you now have to reflect the advert you are applying for. The 30 second test is vital in this because i may be looking at 100 CV's for a position, show me how you meet my criteria and why i should interview you in that first half a page
