Which headlight bulbs
Discussion
I am thinking of up rating the headlights, the standard bulbs are H4 65/55W and wired in 17A cable.
I am assumming 10 volts at the headlights and since the fuse is rated at 15A per light I think 130/80W may be a bit high without relaying the lights. There are 100/80W lights and other standard wattage lights with various colours giving differant light outputs but which work the best.
I am looking at the dip beam and even at 80W the current would be only about 8A.
So whats in your headlights.

Have a check of the voltage with the headlights on and the engine running (2000rpm - charging light off) if it's much below 11 volts then the light output is reduced significantly and it would be a good idea to fit relays anyway to up the voltage at each light, wire the relays near to or directly to the battery (fused of course) and use the existing wiring to switch each relay.
