Oche Self Cert Re-mortgage will cost you because of the extra risk the lender will have to take on suggest you try HFC Bank they might be able to help.

Please avoid a mortgage co which is named afer a bourough in London and another one which begins with a vowel and sounds like a collection - can think of another way to put it without incurring the wroth of PT.

Alledgedly they specialise in these sort of cases and for those with CCJ's etc. but by God you will pay on the fees and interest side...

Just spoke to HFC bank and they do not do remortgages.

They will do a secured loan but only with proof of income.

It might be worth your while going to a Mortgage Broker.

1) They'll do some of the hard work for you in sourcing it.
2) They'll be objective about your particular circumstances and needs.

I think there are a few known around PH or perhaps PHers can give you a recommendation of someone personally known so that you can be sure they are trustworthy.

Mail me if you want details of a chap/firm I would trust.

What you are looking for is Countrywide Lending solutions.
Not quite self cert, but does not require proof of income.

I would advise caution with cls, not heard anything bad, but they definitely cannot give independent advice, they only work from a panel of IIRC 8 lenders.

put simply, you need independent advice in order to maximise the possibilty of finding a sypathetic lender

...oh, and also do everything tonker said

To achieve what he originaly asked for, He will only need one of those eight lenders, I even know which one it would be, but I am not in Financial Services, and I do not give financial advice.
