E39 523 bargain..
Discussion
And I use the term bargain loosely since I know what £1700ish gets you in the U.K.
I have got an ´00 e38 750i, and to say that they are economical to run is a grave understatement, and mine is in very good nick, and will not be driven in the winter. So I got this:
'00 523i full M-sport. New MoT(Swedish equivalent) with zero advisaries, FSH, new tie-rods and alignment, new windshield, serviced on friday, not a scratch in the interiour, everything works bar a broken cup holder in the rear. It's a proper 10 foot car, looks great at that distance
Up close there are a few spots of rust, and the bonnet is very stone chipped and has the front of it rattle can sprayed. Tires are shot up front, new ones supplied as were 15" proper studless winter tyres that are new and fitted on really bland looking 5 spoke rims that will get plastidipped black. Couldn't be bothered at that price. Will fill DD duties from now on and serve as a winter-going-sideways-everywhere-car.
Chuffed with it in all honesty despite the rougness around the edges. It's quiet, not e38 quiet, but mellow enough, runs well, sounds great and it rattle free on the inside, suspension is vibration and knock free and in general it feels very well nailed together.
