I have just bought a lovely 99 cerb6. Chassis is immaculate and I mean perfect. My standards are high and this meets it.

Interior is not for everyone, but it's in great condition too.

Engine seems fine, nasties have been remedied by previous owners. Well done them!!

However, small probs which hopefully I can get some answers on. In 5th gear from 2k-3.5k the gear knob makes an insatiable rattle. Even if I squeeze it really hard it only changes tone. All other gears are fine. Any one else had this?

Wear on the inside of front tyres. Tracking has apparently been done. Any other sinister causes common to cerbs?

Other than that, she's mint. Rumour has it Jason clegg owned it a while back.

5th gear is a weak spot and so may be worn.
Tyres - you need to get the geo set properly. The real experts see lots of cerbs set up by suspension self styled gurus and they are all over the place.

I would get the gearbox diagnosed properly, as has been said 5th is a weak point.

Why not take it up to Jason and get his opinion and see if it is one of his old cars.

I might remove the leather gaiter and have a look for rattley bits.
It's had a gearbox rebuild after 5th let go. Many moons ago. Would hate to think it's happened twice.
I could remove it myself, I have a ramp at my disposal. The pics on other threads seem to show what it might look like.
