Gentlemen of the Brain Trust, can I run this by you and elicit your thoughts please?

One side of engine not running right; On start-up much more smoke out of the bad side, engine stalls quickly, if I increase engine revs running is erratic.

MIL light flashing.

Computer says throttle pots OK but Lambda readings a) different, b) not jumping up and down to 1 point something like I think they usually do.

Interestingly if I increase the value of the pot on the bad side (thereby simulating throttles open more than they are) that side runs better.

_ I _ suspect bad lambda sensors, telling the ECU that the mixture is richer than it really is; and/or blocked cat reducing flow.

Any thoughts, agreements, disagreements, please?

By the way, it's NOT the same side I had the previous problem with!

Many thanks.

Andy.

Joolz yes I'll do that over the weekend - thanks.

Before it happened nothing unusual except a nice 200 mile spin in which the car performed perfectly. Then left it a day, came back, started it and there were the symptoms described!

OK today I canged the two lambda sensors, but sadly it seems to have no effect on the (non)running of the engine.
Here's a screenshot of the ECU software, with the engine running, revs held high to stop it stalling.
It won't tick over, so couldn't do a shot at lower revs.

I'd really appreciate help on this; Since I got the car in late December I've been able to drive it for a total of about 5 days. Starting to regret buying it.
