Hey folks, my chassis restoration has hit a bit of a wall. I can't lay my hands on cold drawn seamless tube locally to do the necessary repairs. Anyone know a good, reliable supplier that I can get in touch with?

Ta Billy.

Cool. I've fired off emails to most of the garages offering chassis repairs so hopefully someone will sell me some.

Great company. good prices and fast delivery.

std cars used ERW, CDS is no real advantage on a road car. CDS merely stronger allowing lighter / thinner tube to be used in race cars whilst retaining same strength

I had my original order in with this lot but after waiting a week for it to arrive I called them to find out they don't have any in stock and had no idea when it would be back in.

Great waste of time right there.

Have some ordered for elsewhere so cheers for the help guys.

Billy.

try any steel stock holder or a local steel fabricator they should tell you where they get their tube from. That is what I did smile

The tube used in your chassis is ERW. This is a formed and welded tube.
Metals4u is as good a place as any to buy it and it will turn up in a couple of days.
Don't buy in 6M lengths as you will not be buying a stack of it so individual tube can get bent in transit.
