Hello,

Some of you may remember my post from a few weeks back reg. lifestyle changes and getting out of debt. I've been pretty successful in the changes I was making and I am on the right track, however I want to gain some form of second income.

I know there was another topic related to this area recently, but that OP had some different ideas/requirements to what they wanted to do.

I don't particularly want to go into the eBay buying/selling area as it requires too much time and effort and it is not likely to net much profit unless you find a specific area to specialise in, IMO at least.

What i'm looking for are some ideas as to things I can personally do to gain even a few quid a month extra to what I earn already. Ideally, this would be something I can do from home/on the computer. I don't have the time or energy to work evenings at a second job as my daily commute is near to 3.5 hours in total and I am shattered by the time I get home at 8.

Are there any areas I can go into that will help me net a bit more £££ each month? Obviously I wouldn't mind doing the eBay thing provided I had some reasonable ideas.

Thanks

DonkeyApple

Nice to hear.

What about a second job near work and then commute home when the roads are quiet? Or weekend work?

Big fan of second jobs as not only do you make money but you also aren't spending any while doing the extra hours

Pick something recreational.

I crew for a hot air balloon company at weekends as a second job. Good fun, gets me out of the house, nice pocket money.

I started becuase I was skint, but do it now because it is fun and I ahve made some great friends.

But I've heard it's a very up and down business.

A similar kind of thread was posted a little while back. It might be of interest: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

OP if you're sitting in a car for 3 hours every day, would it be better to get some studying done with audio books to help you earn more in your current job / increase promotion prospects / help you find a better job. Its likely to be a better return on your investment.

This is a good shout. A friend of mine used to do security at gigs, got in to see load of gigs. Could be the same with sport events etc.
