Never done it but I believe they can be "opened up" and contacts checked/cleaned and operation checked with a meter?

OR, I think I have a couple of second hand ones stashed away somewhere if you'd like to try one?

Hello

I have a pair that I bought new in 2012 and mega cost from Bosch.

Only done 6000 miles when I took them off come with filter and hoses etc.. Open to offers..

These transformed my car when fitted.

Thanks

Could you clarify what you mean by "won't respond to adjustment" please?

Although both AFM's are the same they have different functions. I believe one measures air flow and the other temperature, so depends which way the plugs are configured. They will work either way round from experience, but the adjustment screw on one is likely to have far more affect than the other. Hope this helps.

Both AFM are indeed the same. Both AFM units measure air flow, only one unit is wired to measure air temperature. If memory serves, this is the wire with the white connector and usually the top AFM but doesn't really matter. If by adjustment you are talking about "Idle Mixture Adjustment" then again, if the throttle butterflies are closing correctly only one AFM should have a great effect as only one AFM feeds the engine through ISCV when the throttle is closed. Again if piped up as original this would be the top AFM but either way it is the one that is piped to the side of the throttle body on which the ISCV is mounted.
