Has anyone backed anything and been really impressed with the results or is it all a load of rubbish?

Backed the carbon collar bones like a lot from here and was suitably impressed with the updates and the product when I received my reward.

Backed the PC game Elite:Dangerous from the start and it's turned out very well, I'm still playing it after almost a year. It's only just getting started too, loads of development in the pipeline.

Elite:Dangerous here too, but dont get much chance to play.

Pressy - a clicky thing for controlling android phone through headphone jack - went badly. Massively oversubscribed, product late delivery with quality problems, whilst being ripped off by other chinese manufacturers. Rumours were the Pressy company ripped off someone elses design too. A bt crap

I backed this - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1594416177/wi... - and was very pleased with the product.

This - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/361842686/hud... - looks interesting, especially as I already use their sat nav on my phone.

I've had a torch, a bottle opener, and a deck of cards with a design that makes them unusable. Haven't checked anything out for ages now though.

Wallet - Brilliant,
Sunglasses - Meh,
Android/iPhone connector keyring - good
Ski goggles - not delivered yet

I have also backed some young lads to create a film they wrote a screenplay for, and a girl to shave her hair for charity on indiegogo.

I like the idea of funding little start-ups/projects.
Fair play to them for creating a product and getting it out there.

Yes I backed the Nude Audio Super M Bluetooth speaker, it's an awesome thing, everyone who sees it wants one. Was very late though as seems customary.

I backed Pebble - it does what it says but it's a bit meh.
I also backed Robot Turtles, a board game to teach kids the basics of coding. Still unopened but my Daughters too young for it yet.

I backed a really thin e-ink watch that never appeared and lost my money frown . they were good with updates and explanations as to why but they overreached their ability to build it.

Elite Dangerous. I supported it for old times' sake and haven't downloaded it yet, but the screenshots of it look great. A worthy project.
