Things are probably a little different now but last year BMW UK forced through a price rise of 5 % despite the Euro decreasing by 10 % and everyone paid list

One Swiss buyer apparently managed to get his importer to refund it after his dealer would not

You're more likely to find a cancelled order now which may be sold a little cheaper and since there's effectively no options it then just becomes a colour choice

There's £1000's worth of options...? Iirc pure impulse package is £12K alone,I didn't tick that many boxes but added about £6K to the list price.!

I was told categorically 'no discounts'. After I'd ordered mine, a 'friend-of-a-friend' told me that he could get me a £1K off 'cos he was pally with the DP at a BMW Dealership!
Always the same - no proof, just bar talk!
Didn't seem too bad on options - Crystal White / Halo Interior / Turbine Wheels.... about £5K, all off-set by the Gov't discount; there's man-maths for you!!

Again don't know how true but I herd that if any discount was given BMW made the dealer pay it back to BMW...?

Given the horrific 1st month depreciation, you'd darn-well want a discount on a new one. If not, you effectively get a discount by buying a nearly new instead.

Yep - I'd save 25k and buy used.
