Oh dear its not my week, first the griff and now the S.

On the M18 today and noticed the temp rise, then sudden loss of power and stop!

looks like its blown the head gasket on no. 5 and 6.

anyone got a gasket set surplus to requirements?

I thought about that for a nano second, until I realised just how complicated and expensive it was.

Cheaper to buy one of the many V8'S around at the moment IMHO

looks like a replacement engine is in order.

Took the heads off today and both heads have dropped a valve seat and no.3 piston has suffered the consequences
It looks like it may have been down on power due to no.4 pistons exhaust valve seat partially missing.
I never thought it was that quick and suspected some problem , after being in a few 2.8i Capris that always felt more urgent, even for a much heavier car.

is it possible to put a RV8 in it? has the V8s got a different chassis config on the front?

Apparantly the V8S and the S4 have a stronger chassis to deal with more power, ask pies

IIRC the V8/S4 chassis just has a few more cross members in
