What plane is this?

Some car guys and I went to Sleap Aerodrome in Shropshire a couple of Sundays ago where they serve an excellent fat boy breakfast in the cafe on the control tower's first floor.

Whilst there, this Russian aircraft landed, refuelled and then appeared to take up a passenger for a joyride.

What aircraft was it?

Yak 52 I believe

And, yes, Sleap is a very nice place to visit

It's a Yakovlev Yak-11.

They were the Soviet equivalent of the Harvard and were extensively used by most of the Warsaw Pact countries.
