Anyone know the maximum discount off list a high street dealer is likely to give on a ladies Omega Constellation.?
Been offered 10% without any negotiation, so reckon there is further discount available.

Searching online for the same watch has come up with several places offering between 20 and 25 %
Not expecting to get that much from the local place, but would be nice to think we could meet in the middle somewhere.

What do you reckon my chances are ?

Standard answer - contact Dominic Hackett and ask the question. My Dom-sourced Seamaster is on my wrist as we speak.

Dom a great choice, but 10% on a ladies Constellation is too little. Would you consider pre-owned?

Have just bought a Speedmaster as pictured on a nearby thread.
I found that 20% off the mrrp was possible from more than one source but I went with the PHers "in house" (well sort of) supplier.

Cheers will give Dom a call. Really looking at new rather than pre owned as it's a birthday present. Also needs to be a specific colour/style combination so finding the exact spec pre owned would probably be a major stumbling block.

I recently purchased a new Omega Seamaster 300m (black dial). The list price is £2770 and I managed to get Fraser Hart down to £2400 buying outright on the day, (roughly 13% off). I subsequently purchased it through Iconic Watches for £2050 (belive it's gone up slightly now due to Swiss exchange rate). I just couldn't justify the extra £££ for the 'shop' experience.

I want the exact same watch as Speed Badger. Spent an hour in the Omega boutique on Regent Street trying on various options real and wishful thinking (DSOM Speedy Vintage proved impossible to walk past without drool).

After toying with classic Speedy and then various Seamaster (Planet Ocean, 300M) I've come back to my initial lust - black dialed Diver. Can spend hours diving into the endless black of that dial....

Anyway, I could buy from Regent Street at list price. Would they offer any extras if not price? I've been recommended a Goldsmiths store with an Omega mini-store inside it but wonder what discount I might haggle?

Have noticed Iconic but doubts about warranty having heard of issues getting watches sourced from AD's in remote parts of the EU serviced here. Their price feels too good to be true which suggests it is. Or people recommend Dom - does he source from an AD or fix up a deal as a broker?

Are we talking better prices than places like iconic watches?

Or even something similar. Am ready to push the button on a Seamaster. Could have taken the one I had on in Omega Blue water earlier, was it not for the £630 saving I could get from Iconic.

Or Dom...? Who wants my money?

Have you googled Dominic Hackett? - Found his contact details? And asked him?

Or are you waiting for him to magically pop up here like the shopkeeper in Mr Benn?

Ive been looking to get a planet ocean 42mm, now living in the middle east you would think they would be cheaper, however the cheapest ive been offered here in pounds is 3540GBP, a retailer in the UK will ship one to me for 2800 GBP however also found authenticwatches.com in USA offering for 2450 GBP shipped.

Don't think will get much cheaper than that regardless of where shop.

If you're living middle East, you could get Tax Free in UK, no?

True, the price shipped from the UK of 2800 was minus the VAT and including shipping.

I rarely (once in 3 years) travel back so buying one at home and claiming the vat back isn't something id be looking to do. However if can find someone to ship one out at a very good price im more than happy to do it.

Problem is they wouldn't be able to claim the VAT. However, if you PM me I probably know an AD that will, and include a reasonable discount on top. Would be an International AD that I'd put you in touch with directly, so nothing dodgy at all.

They should be able to claim the VAT back, anything I order online (amazon etc) when shipping to a foreign address the VAT is automatically removed at the checkout.
