Tyres for Griffith

It's tyre time for the back again. Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
Had Bridgestone SO2s all round happy, then SO3s on back SO2s on front, happy, currently on SO3s all round, again happy.
Was going to stick with SO3s, but I gather they are now becoming difficult to come by; Also the quote from black circle is for Y rated, not ZR - does this make a difference? also not listed as Pole Position - are there different types of SO3s - PP and not PP?
Next up, I read in several places - dealer web sites etc. that Toyo Proxes are the thing to replace SO2/3s - how do the handling and wear characteristics compare; can I run SO3s on front, Proxes on back until change time for front - 15k miles/2 years based on experience. Got 14k miles out of my last back set.
Track use not really a consideration, not done any in 4 years, may do a couple this year.
Best prices/location for either in South London/Kent Surrey if any one knows please.
Tyre spec: 245/45 16" ZR

Proxies should be a lot cheaper, over here they are about 25 % cheaper than the S03. I'm very curious, your remark "by all accounts better", can you explain who you mean by all accounts.
Tests by a German magazine on the Nurburgring showed slightly better times for the S03 over the Proxies, I'm not saying the Proxies is a bad tyre, it isn't, in fact it's good value for money.
I think the Proxies are on the Tuscan as far as I know, but thats more of a financial matter between TVR and the tyre manufacturer.

proxies are good, Eagles are better, but pricier!
toyos are close to fabled SO2's in contruction (touch softer sidewall) so are good for standard Griff set up.
cheaper too. Softer compound means they my wear quicker than Eagles.
Goodyear eagles are better all round in my view, but on the road either would be fine.
had no probs with SO3's, roud or track, just expensive. crap tread pattern - if that matters.
