Does anyone have any advice on best location to fit a hardwired Origin B2 to my (newish) 996 coupe with PCM?

Steve,

Quite a tricky one that I don't think there is an ideal location for it in the 996. I've got mine by the RH windscreen pillar that way you can run the wires out of sight fairly easily. I made a little bracket which wedges between the pillar and instrument pod. As I didn't want to drill any holes. Works quite well in that it is easy to read but looks a bit ugly.

Other people have them in/on the centre console behind the gear lever. This looks a bit better but you can't read it too clearly. I'm not sure there are any other practical locations but I'm sure some inventive type will prove me wrong.

I've got mine on the dash board just to the left of the hazard light button, I've managed to tuck the wires under the instrument binnacle edge all the way around to the steering wheel then feed them around that and out under the dash to connect to the other bits and bobs
