Money Claim Online
Discussion
Hi,
I'm currently filling in a MCOL.
I'm confused about some of the dates I am required to give.
Firstly there is a tick box stating:
Does this mean that if I want to send further documents as to why they owe me money, I tick this box? IF I don't tick the box, it'll be based upon the small text box I enter?
Date money became owed to you (dd/mm/yyyy): 07/09/2015
Date you are issuing the claim (dd/mm/yyyy): ** I am unsure as to what this date is meant to be? Is it when I am submitting the claim? **
Daily rate of interest up to the date of judgment: The daily interest rate comes to £0.136, but how do I know when the judgment is?
Also, do I include the cost of opening the claim in the money I am asking for? Or will that be paid on-top of what they owe me?
Sorry if these are basic questions however I did try googling to find further information but I couldn't find anything.
Cheers

You are required to give details of your claim in the box below. If you wish, you may also send detailed particulars direct to the defendant. If you need to do this, please tick here

Mrs Buzz recently did a Money claim and the text box would only allow 1000 characters - later she found out that there was a tick box to enable her to send a more in depth report but it had a very unclear description. sounds like the one you have mentionedI'm currently filling in a MCOL.

Mrs Buzz's claim went to court and the judge totaled up the interest owed there and then when she won, she also included all the costs or raising the claim and the court fees, I believe there was an option to choose to add that in when raising it.
