Hi everyone - I've just found some idiot has sprayed graffiti on my Cayman - first and hopefully last time, but does anyone have any tips to get this off? It's only on one panel and is about 15cm long.

Thanks!

Thanks; am hoping it won't need something so drastic! Are there any places in London anyone would recommend?

I'd start with some detailing clay.

Stick this on the General forum if you want a better response.

We had this once. Turned out to be grease. Have you tried wiping it?

Thanks - I think this does appear in the general Porsche area too? I have managed to remove the blue paint mark with hot soapy water, but the area underneath the graffiti is dull and discoloured. I guess I need to take this to a professional now? Any recommendations for one in north London?

Thanks, might try this out. I have done a soap and water wash and the pain itself has come off, but a pink stain is now left where the paint used to be. frown Any ideas how to sort this out, or what this is a result of?

If you're not experienced in claying or paint correction it might be a good idea to go and see these people?

I would advise against doing this unless you have experience of using wet n dry as it can cut into the paint too deeply if you rub too hard. I would try some T-Cut and if that doesn't work, seek some professional advice.

Thanks - that was my thought too. I'll try polishing it as that seems a tactic with no downside and see if that makes a difference.

likely that the paint will be from an aerosol which will be cellulose based so I would get some paint thinners / gun wash on a cloth and simply wipe it off then a quick polish with some cutting compound after and job done .

Thanks everyone for the tips - some soapy hot water yesterday and some turtlewax polish today got rid of it. Now I'll get the car waxed to give it some extra protection. Am glad it wasn't more serious...!
