I've got her, and God she's beautiful!

As a background I had a Vanquish 6 years ago which I wrote off in an accident after 2 years. Sensibility of DSC motivated 4 years of DB9 ownership but never shifted the Vanquish bug. After the excellent Burghley get together I found myself drawn to every Vanquish there, and although it took over a year of planning and searching, she's here.
Timing couldn't have been better. I had signed up to last weeks Highland Hoon while I had the DB9 but changed in time to have my first weekend with car, driving some of the best Roads Scotland has to offer, with a group of great people. What a blast. Just to reiterate from Highland Hoon posts if you see one coming up again get yourself down on the list if you can. Superbly organised and such fun. but I digress.
Here are the photos; I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I think it is the prettiest Aston ever. Black on black is gorgeous - when clean - I cant see me ever tiring of looking at it with a smile on my face. And we're going to next years Burghley, so I'll get a plug in for that too.

Beautiful car, congrats!
Russell will be along shortly to remind us that the black ones go faster!

Very nice indeed John.
I can almost feel your reconnection in your post, its a bit like the old saying "the hand that fits the glove"…..
Some nice pictures as well,is the 5th over at Logie Steadings………..the fence seems very familiar.
Mind you when you've seen one fence and all that…...
Interesting to know that it was Burghley they tipped you back over the edge………
,it seems a lot of people where motivated by that weekend.
I'm very pleased to hear that your making the epic journey back down again next July so hopefully you'll be able to encourage a few more from north of the border
to join you in the trip down…….
.
Beautiful car that has clearly scratched that constant itch……..
Congratulations. .

Thanks everyone
Didn't get much of a chance this weekend, and I fear time is running out, salt no doubt about to hit the roads so garage, cover, silica gel packets and mouse traps at the ready!
Mike, thanks for being a superb lead car, thank goodness I got a black one though so I half a chance at keeping up! Ed, it will be a pleasure making the trip; will do my best to promote and round up some fellow Scots to join me on trip down. I know others are on the case too. Not so many Astons up this neck of the woods, but know a few who do not follow this site so will get word out. Tony, you beat me to it, took a picture but it was dark and didn't turn out. Picture below, and as expected quality spot on.
Paddy, should you find yourself up here
LBS, I like the gearbox. For want of a better expression it is more manly than the DB9, a proper feel of the gear changing, and the accompanying cackle from the exhaust is great (Vacuum pipes plugged on it, pure noise). Had a couple of orange gearbox fault flickers on dash but each time I had tried to shift down to rapidly. When I get the chance I'll look at the clutch learn procedure and see if it makes any difference, but really quite satisfied as it is. Finally, Scott, again thanks for organising last weekend, quite brilliant. Your ass is pretty sexy too.
Cheers all, John
