Had a go at taking a panoramic shot with my new IXUS 500 whilst skiing recently. Used the Canon stitch program to put them together - came out quite nicely?

Click here for the full size picture (Its looking away from Mont Blanc over towards the Matterhorn which you can just see ar right)

You can see the joins if you know where you are looking. Should try the same with my 300D pictures

Also got a nice shot of Mont Blanc in normal mode

Microsoft's digital image pro 10 software has a nice panoramic stitching utility.

This is a composite of four pictures done with a point and shoot Sony P9 Camera (Dunure Harbour, Ayr, Scotland 11/2003) and then stitched using DI Pro 10:

I'll see your Bondi Beach, and raise you 4 from the top of the empire state building taken with my Original Ixus Mark I!

Guess which moron zoomed the camera half way through so couldn't stitch the whole lot into a 360 view...

They are all awesome! All my attempts at pano stitching are really appalling.

If you use www.panoramafactory.com panorama stitching is a piece of cake.

Lovely shots.

If you use PS Elements it does have a basic panorama stitching tool built in.

Nice one viper...

IMHO ..would look even better if you'd done this:

Thought I'd add a couple - only really as there was no camera involved at all! (a lot off faff with rendering software and photoshop mind... it would have been easier to fly to the Alps)

...and before any of you give me a hard time... this planet has 2 suns

Nice

Now then, did you do this to the original or the small version here? 'Cos if you used the original, I wouldn't mind a copy Else I'll be on Photoshop myself tonight!

T'was the small one I'm afraid... but as cloning goes it's as easy as they come.

I took one over in the Lakes with my Canon A70, unfortunately it's much too big to post as an image here, but it can be found here.

Found another.

Lucia Lodge: a tiny outpost on Pacific Highway One (San Francisco - Los Angeles) in Bug Sur.

Again my trusty (and well travelled ) Ixus V.

www.tvrbliss.co.uk/panotest2/

a wee test a did last year after getting a wider lens. Not a great stitch, but works well & light use of bandwidth iirc

Don't usualy come in here but some nice stuff being posted.

Here's my panorama attempt:

I'd have to look at the map to name it but West Coast Scotland.
Maybe someone with local knowledge can help out...?
