Received this via email, interesting if true.

"I need to talk to a owner of a Nissan Primera, the new spec, it must
have active cruse control fitted, you know the one.. get too close to
the car in front and its slows down for you. The *****
has found out that the use of the cruse control may stop laser speed
cameras from working, just as a jammer will.

It turns out the system Nissan use is laser controlled and this same
laser will jam police laser guns. The **** would
like to test this out.

I looking for someone in the South Staffordshire or Northampton
(Silverstone) area."

Interesting most of the other systems are radar based. But did find this:

www.hillingdontimes.co.uk/motoring/display.var.593735.html

and

www.nissan.md/en/primera/m3.html

Doubt if it is true, but the urban legends will live on.....and on....

Cheers,

Mine is a polymer coated resin reinforced steel system . . . i.e. the bumper. Works quite well!

A well known radar trap company sent the email, and they have a good reputation in this field.

According to the Abd magazine - this only happens on one type of radar device used in holland - so far 5 drivers have been fined for using a jammer
when in fact it was the cruise control
