I don't actually eat processed meat very often but the BBC news coverage featured a cafe dishing up a full English brekkie and I really fancy that now. smile

This has been known for some time now. Note that the classification they share with Tobacco just means they have a similar evidence base; it says nothing about the risks of either. That second bit was mis-reported all over the news yesterday!

I've seen quite a lot of regurgitated [dis]info circulating on social media implying that PMs are in the top five most deadly killers up there with Asbestos and Cyanide. If that were true, surely the amount of bacon, beef jerky, biltong, salami, proscuitto crudo/jambon de pays, bresaola and so forth I eat would mean I should be dead several times over by now? More to the point, do we REALLY need to have these people constantly telling us that everything we do is going to kill us? Surely there's too many people on the planet anyway and we need to thin numbers somehow?
