TVR S3 insurance
Discussion
After looking at TVR tasmin & S,s for as long as i can remember, i have finally taken the plunge & purchased a TVR S3 1991. I am looking for a 3000 annual mileage policy, am 55 years old, live in West Yorkshire with no NCD for the TVR.
Whom do you guys recommend i contact for an insurance quote & what should i expect to pay ?

...I'm currently with Flux, agreed value, limited miles, around 130 pounds...not quite your age, but perilously close
....and they have been very good since I crashed it...hope to get it back soon

Hi Mike
Great choice and welcome!
I'm with https://www.rhspecialistinsurance.co.uk/ and pay £110 a year.
If you look at "useful links" above you will see there is an insurance section with other firms and their contact details so you can shop around.
You'll find this is a very friendly forum for any other help you may need
Cheers

I am your age and I always found Manning competitive for me .
They were the TVRCC preferred insurer for many years , don't think that's still the case though .
Doesn't look like they are om Andy's link .

Welcome to the forum.
Carole Nash or Classic Line are both good.
Will you be wanting European breakdown & recovery as well? Just in case you wish to join the annual S Club Eurotour.
Also consider whether 3000 miles per annum will be sufficient. I have had to extend my agreed mileage allowance each year, now on the maximum of 9000 with Classic Line. Also I went with them for their trackday cover option, which some insurers do not cover.
Good luck, enjoy your S!

Thanks guys.
Quotes vary a lot !!
157 from performance direct is the best so far. (no, no claims on this car). Can get the S2 quite a bit cheaper (96 pounds) for some reason ??
Anyway looking forward to picking the S3 up on Saturday - in the rain (forecast) - driving up the M1 should test the watertightness of the hood out !
Thanks again

My partner has just ensured hers (after a long time off the road, but MOT day tomorrow) with Carole Nash. Got a reasonable price and it includes legal cover and full breakdown cover including home start. Very efficient service but the price for her S3 with me on it was nowhere near the mythical £110 down south. I'm guessing we are paying extra for living in rural West Yorkshire!
