I'm looking for some advice on the below scenario.

My offer has been accepted on a property which contains a self contained annex that 2 tenants currently reside in. They have an agreement in place with the current landlord (30 days notice) however they have both now been served their notice period on the assumption that the property will be in my ownership within 2 months.

I am though now considering retaining them as tenants and would like some advice on how to best go about this period of transition from different landlords. I suspect the best way to proceed is for them to negotiate a new agreement with the currently landlord on the fixed term basis which will take them up to the day I complete on the property? This will be superseded then by a new agreement issued by me the new legally appointment landlord......

Simply allow the tenants present tenancy to run on, with their present landlord not seeking repossession, with you agreeing, signing a new tenancy agreement, an opening inventory, security deposit monies etc., at the time the property falls into your ownership.
